About Ya’Ya Fest
The Ya’Ya Fest is Mozambique’s premier off-grid music festival, held in the stunning nature reserve of Techobanine, right by the beach. What began as a small celebration during the COVID-19 pandemic, in honor of Yanda’s birthday, has grown into a full-fledged festival. Born out of a gathering of friends, it celebrates resilience, music, and the Mozambican spirit.
The festival is more than just a celebration of music—it’s about creating a strong sense of community, inclusivity, and togetherness. Featuring Mozambique’s top emerging DJs, the Ya’Ya Fest offers a platform for local talent, with a carefully curated lineup that reflects the heart and soul of the country’s music scene. Each year, the festival evolves to enhance the experience for both attendees and artists, embracing the power of music to bring people together.
The Forrest Stage offers a magical, intimate experience deep in the woods, where the mystical setting merges with the sounds of top local DJs, creating a unique atmosphere for festival-goers seeking an immersive music experience.
The Freedom Stage represents the vibrant and energetic heart of the festival. This stage features high-energy performances, where the true spirit of freedom and creativity comes alive with electrifying sets from Mozambique’s best DJs.
The Kitchen Stage is a cozy, lounge-style space where attendees can take a breather from the excitement. With more mellow and relaxed sets, it offers the perfect chill-out zone during the festival.

Community & Learning
Ya’Ya Fest is proud to provide a platform for growth, offering opportunities for interns and volunteers to gain hands-on experience in event production. This commitment to fostering talent helps develop Mozambique’s cultural landscape, providing invaluable learning experiences in areas like logistics and event management.
Sustainability & Nature
Set in a nature reserve, sustainability is a growing focus at Ya’Ya Fest. This year, eco-friendly practices will be integrated to ensure minimal environmental impact, keeping the festival experience both enjoyable and responsible.
At Ya’Ya Fest, you’ll find not just a festival, but a community—a space where music, nature, and shared experiences come together to create something truly unforgettable.
